Transit blast from the past

Flickr user davidwilson1949 has a collection of over 100 historic transit pictures from the DC area, dating from the 1970s forward. Fun and fascinating stuff. Here are two of his images:

Hard to tell. Sure looks like a 2 car train, though. I know they ran some of those late at night in the early 2000s, so it’s not totally unheard of.

When you look at the original size on flickr, it seems almost certain that it is a two car train.
