State transportation planners are nearing completion on an environmental study that will help determine the alignment and transportation mode of the long-planned Corridor Cities Transitway. The Maryland Transit Administration, at the request of county and Gaithersburg officials, is studying three alternative alignments that would improve service to the Shady Grove Life Sciences Center in Rockville and the Kentlands and Crown Farm areas of Gaithersburg.
