New York has its Wall Street financiers, Boston its Beacon Hill brahmins, and London its Fleet Street reporters. Washington’s answer, of course, is the K Street lobbyist. BeyondDC braved the political jungle for a late October photo shoot, capturing K Street between Franklin and Farragut Squares, along with a detour to the newly redesigned Thomas Circle. Take a look.

The new circle, by the way, is an improvement over the old, but still noticeably bare. It will need considerably more furnishing, of both the natural and constructed sorts, before it can legitimately take its place as a valuable city park.
