If all subways were one giant subway

What if all the metro systems in North America were combined into one giant metro system?

That would be terrible, actually. But it looks neat on map.

It doesn’t look neat because it doesn’t even combine them accurately, leaves off large portions of lines.

It leaves out light rail, with a couple of exceptions. That’s pretty common for heavy metro mapping.

pity, it’s a little misleading, if it showed real gaps, or how to get from Southern Virginia to Boston using heavy rail.nI charted you can almost make it using heavy rail with a gap at the DE border and a gap in CT. if it showed the links and the gaps it might inspire operators to try and close them

It’s there, between Toronto and New York.

    What about Atlanta?

    • BeyondDC

It’s there, above and to the left of DC. Why they put it above DC I don’t know.

Can you throw in Amtrak? Map’s a bit less fanciful if you do.
